S4O, Scratch for (ROBOTIS) OLLO (Beta release) by RO-BOTICA in #scratch2013BCN conference

RO-BOTICA has presented in a Poster of  #scratch2013BCN International Scratch  Conference in Barcelona a Beta release of Software for programming ROBOTIS OLLO scalable system kits of educational and reconfigurable robots with educational open source and free download educational software SCRATCH.

Is not required modify nor standard Scratch 1.0 neither firmware of CM-100A ROBOTIS OLLO controller, only download an standard aplication to OLLO controller install the new midleware sockets software which send from Scratch software running in PC orders to ollo actuators (gear motors, servo motors, and leds, sound) and read from Scratch the state of IR sensors and touch sensors for controlling OLLO robots from Scratch educational environment. All communications are now wireless using ROBOTIS Zigbee standard protocol modules.

Soon will be available for the community “extensions mechanism" for new release of Scratch 2.0 to make it easier to connect many types of external devices as ROBOTIS OLLO robots to Scratch 2.0.
